广东省集美设计工程有限公司创建于1985年，是中国华南地区唯一的美术高等院校“广州美术学院”的全资校办企业，也是改革开放后全国艺术高等院校最早成立的设计公司。
集美公司成立近四十年来，在建筑艺术与室内装饰设计、展览策划与展示陈列设计、雕塑及公共艺术设计、视觉传达与新媒体设计、工业设计与文创产品设计等领域中享有盛誉，拥有国家级专业学会和协会的副会长、常务理事、理事等社会地位和省级硕士研究生联合培养基地的学术地位，具备中国建筑装饰、中国展览陈列、中国博物馆陈列展览设计与施工等领域的国家甲级或壹级资质，是全国实力雄厚且极具特色的文化创意产业基地，被誉为中国高等艺术院校中“产学研”相结合的最成功的典范与标杆。集美公司成立以来，开创了全国最早的影视广告、五星级酒店、大型美术馆和音乐厅等完全由国内（大陆）团队自主设计并实施的先河。进入21世纪后，集美公司承担了日本爱知县世博会中国馆、上海世博会中国馆及主题馆、人民大会堂广东厅、中央礼品馆、中国人民解放军海军博物馆等一大批国家、省市自治区文化场馆的设计与建设工作，并深度参与了广州亚运会、深圳大运会、迪拜世博会和北京冬奥会等国际重大文体项目，多次荣获中国土木工程詹天佑奖、中国室内设计金奖和中国十大博物馆精品奖等国家级奖项。

Founded in 1985, Guangdong Jimei Design & Construction Co., Ltd is a wholly-owned enterprise of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the only art institution of higher education in South China, and the earliest art and design company established by an art institution of higher education in China after the reform and opening-up.
Over the past nearly 40 years, Jimei has become vice-chairman unit, standing governing unit, governing unit in national professional academies and associations in different creative areas, including architecture and interior design, exhibition planning and display design, sculpture and public art design, visual communication and new media design, industrial design and cultural creative product design, etc. Jimei also has become a provincial joint training base for master's degree which represents its academic status. Jimei owns national Grade-A and Grade-1 qualification certificates for architectural decoration , exhibition display and museum exhibition design and construction. being a strong and highly distinctive cultural and creative industry base in China, Jimei is regarded as the most successful model and benchmark of "industry-academia-research" combination of Chinese higher art institutions.Since its establishment, Jimei has pioneered the earliest film and television commercials, five-star hotels, large art museum and concert halls in China, which were designed and implemented by domestic (mainland) teams. Since the 21st century, Jimei has undertaken the design and construction of a large number of national, provincial and autonomous regions cultural venues, such as the China Pavilion at the World Expo in Aichi, Japan, the China Pavilion and Theme Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, the Guangdong Hall of the Great Hall of the People, the Central Gift Museum, and the Naval Museum of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and has deeply participated in major international cultural and sports projects, such as the Guangzhou Asian Games, the Shenzhen Universiade, the Dubai World Expo, and the Beijing Winter Olympics. Jimei has won many national awards such as the China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award, the China Interior Design Gold Medal and the China Top Ten Museum Excellence Award.
