广东省集美设计工程有限公司创建于1985年，是中国华南地区唯一的美术高等院校“广州美术学院”的全资校办企业，也是改革开放后全国艺术高等院校最早成立的设计公司。
Founded in 1985, Guangdong Jimei Design & Construction Co., Ltd is a wholly-owned enterprise of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, the only art institution of higher education in South China, and the earliest art and design company established by an art institution of higher education in China after the reform and opening-up.

Over the past 40 years, Jimei has become vice-chairman unit, standing governing unit, governing unit in national professional academies and associations in different creative areas, including architecture and interior design, exhibition planning and display design, sculpture and public art design, visual communication and new media design, industrial design and cultural creative product design, etc. Jimei also has become a provincial joint training base for master's degree which represents its academic status. Jimei owns national Grade-A and Grade-1 qualification certificates for architectural decoration , exhibition display and museum exhibition design and construction. being a strong and highly distinctive cultural and creative industry base in China, Jimei is regarded as the most successful model and benchmark of "industry-academia-research" combination of Chinese higher art institutions.
自成立伊始，集美领改革开放风气之先，以“推进设计文化，铸造工程典范”为使命，业务从广美课堂走向全国，覆盖文化创意全领域，并对标国家文化发展战略，参与国家重大艺术设计工程，为展现国家文化软实力，彰显中国风范起到了有力的助推作用。
Since its inception, Jimei Ling has been at the forefront of reform and opening-up, with the mission of "advancing design culture and creating engineering paradigms". Its business has expanded from the classrooms of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts to the whole country, covering all fields of cultural creativity. Aligning with the national cultural development strategy, it has participated in major national art and design projects, playing a powerful role in showcasing the country's cultural soft power and demonstrating China's style.
上世纪八九十年代，集美就开创了全国最早的影视广告、五星级酒店、大型美术馆和音乐厅等完全由内地团队自主设计并实施的先河。当中，1994年完成的东莞银城大酒店室内设计、1998年完成的广东美术馆室内设计分别获得1999年第九届全国美术作品展金奖、银奖，1998年完成的广东省星海音乐厅获得了2001年首届全国建筑工程装饰金奖。
In the 1980s and 1990s, Jimei pioneered the earliest projects in China, including film and television advertisements, five-star hotels, large art museums, and concert halls, all of which were independently designed and implemented by mainland teams. Notably, the interior design of the Dongguan Yincheng Hotel, completed in 1994, and the interior design of the Guangdong Museum of Art, completed in 1998, respectively won the Gold and Silver Awards at the Ninth National Art Exhibition in 1999. The Guangdong Xinghai Concert Hall, completed in 1998, won the Gold Award for Architectural Engineering Decoration at the First National Architectural Engineering Decoration Awards in 2001.
可以说，集美的前20年，以广州宾馆、白云山集团广场、北京人大会堂广东厅、银城酒店、长隆酒店、港澳回归国礼和官宣物料等“空间及视觉艺术”的标志性成果，初步筑就了集美的设计力、策划力、行动力、整合力和竞争力；基本奠定了集美的学术地位、市场地位、行业地位。集美的后20年，则集中发力于快速发生发展的“文博展陈、视觉形象及公共艺术”设计事业。大致可以爱知世博中国馆及上海世博主题馆为“标志”；以中国人民解放军海军博物馆、上海博物馆浦东分馆、大湾区艺术中心、以及一大批“精品级”省市博物馆为“波峰”；以北京冬奥会、十五运会、广州亚运会、长沙青年毛泽东雕像等为“涌浪”……“这一系列的‘集美创造’高潮迭起，实现了由‘空间艺术设计’向‘文博展陈、视觉形象及公共艺术’设计的快速迭代、华丽转身和全方位蜕变。” 中国室内装饰协会副会长、广州美术学院原副院长赵健在《致集美40岁生日》中写道。
It can be said that in the first 20 years of Jimei's development, landmark achievements in "space and visual arts" such as the Guangzhou Hotel, Baiyunshan Group Plaza, Guangdong Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Yincheng Hotel, Chimelong Hotel, as well as national gifts and official promotional materials for the return of Hong Kong and Macao, initially established Jimei's design capability, planning capability, execution capability, integration capability, and competitiveness. These achievements essentially laid the foundation for Jimei's academic status, market position, and industry status. In the second 20 years of Jimei's development, efforts were focused on the rapidly developing design industry of "cultural exposition and exhibition, visual image, and public art." The China Pavilion at the Aichi World Expo and the Shanghai World Expo Theme Pavilion can be roughly regarded as "marks"; the People's Liberation Army Navy Museum, Pudong Branch of Shanghai Museum, Dawan District Art Center, and a large number of "premium-grade" provincial and municipal museums can be regarded as "peaks"; the Beijing Winter Olympics, the 15th National Games, the Guangzhou Asian Games, and the Mao Zedong Statue for Youth in Changsha can be regarded as "waves"... "This series of 'Jimei creations' has reached climaxes, achieving a rapid iteration, magnificent transformation, and comprehensive evolution from 'space art design' to 'cultural exposition and exhibition, visual image, and public art' design," wrote Zhao Jian, Vice President of the China Interior Decoration Association and former Vice President of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, in "To Jimei on its 40th Birthday.".
正是在不断地精益求精、匠心独运中，集美历年来所完成的项目，在中国室内装饰协会主办的“中国国际室内设计双年展”、中国建筑装饰协会主办的“国际环艺创新设计作品大赛”等重要行业大赛上，屡屡揽获多个大奖。数据统计显示，在由国家文物局、中国博物馆协会、中国文物报社主导的年度“全国博物馆十大陈列展览精品”（简称“十大精品”）推介活动中，自2005年到2025年二十年间，每年集美基本都有多个项目获奖，获精品奖项目的总量更达到了22个。像近两年，在2024年揭晓的第二十一届(2023年度)“十大精品”中，集美公司设计参建的山西博物院《“晋魂”》、陕西历史博物馆《天下同一：秦汉文明主题展》、浙江省博物馆《浙江一万年——浙江历史文化陈列》三个项目获精品奖，中国考古博物馆《历史中国 鼎铸文明·中国历史研究院文物文献精品展》获特别奖，广东省博物馆（广州鲁迅纪念馆）《绽放——维多利亚时代的艺术》获国际及港澳台合作奖；在2025年揭晓的第二十二届（2024年度）“十大精品”中，集美设计参建的《上海博物馆东馆常设陈列》获精品奖；《全国对口援藏30周年成就展》获特别奖。集美也多次被中国建筑装饰协会评选为年度“十大最具影响力设计机构”，在建筑、室内、景观、展览展示、广告、产品、服装、陶艺等领域中，拥有国家级专业学会（协会）的副会长、常务理事、理事等社会地位。
It is precisely through continuous pursuit of excellence and unique craftsmanship that Jimei has repeatedly won multiple awards in major industry competitions such as the "China International Interior Design Biennial" hosted by the China Interior Decoration Association and the "International Environmental Art Innovation Design Works Competition" hosted by the China Building Decoration Association. Statistics show that in the annual "Top Ten Exhibitions of National Museums" (referred to as "Top Ten Exhibitions") promoted by the National Cultural Heritage Administration, China Museum Association, and China Cultural Relics Daily, Jimei has won multiple awards every year from 2005 to 2025, with a total of 22 projects receiving the Excellence Award. In the past two years, for example, three projects designed and constructed by Jimei, namely "Jin Soul" of Shanxi Museum, "Unified World: Theme Exhibition of Qin and Han Civilizations" of Shaanxi History Museum, and "Ten Thousand Years of Zhejiang - Zhejiang Historical and Cultural Exhibition" of Zhejiang Provincial Museum, won the Excellence Award in the 21st (2023) "Top Ten Exhibitions" announced in 2024. The China Archaeological Museum's "Historical China, Civilization Forged by the Tripod - Exhibition of Cultural Relics and Documents from the Chinese Academy of History" won the Special Award, and Guangdong Provincial Museum (Guangzhou Lu Xun Memorial Hall)'s "Blooming - Art of the Victorian Era" won the International and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Cooperation Award. In the 22nd (2024) "Top Ten Exhibitions" announced in 2025, Jimei's design and construction of the "Permanent Exhibition of the East Wing of Shanghai Museum" won the Excellence Award, and the "30th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition of National Counterpart Assistance to Tibet" won the Special Award. Jimei has also been repeatedly selected as one of the "Top Ten Most Influential Design Institutions" by the China Building Decoration Association, holding social positions such as vice president, executive director, and director of national-level professional societies (associations) in the fields of architecture, interior, landscape, exhibition, advertising, product, clothing, and pottery.
